These terms govern the use of the browser game The Novacron Protocol at novacron.space and all associated addresses.

By creating an account you agree to these terms.
The game is free to play. There are no paid contents, no premium currency and no advertising.
The game runs in rounds. A round lasts several weeks. At the end of each round the entire game state is reset — empires, settlements, fleets, research and awards are lost and everyone starts over. This is intended and is not a fault.
The game is in a testing phase. Rules, numbers and entire parts of it may change, be added or removed at any time. Errors, outages and loss of data can occur.
An account is required. Participation is currently closed: an account can only be created with an invitation code.
Use is restricted to persons aged 18 or over. By creating an account you confirm that you are of age.
You provide a valid e-mail address when registering. You keep your credentials in such a way that third parties cannot access them. You are responsible for actions taken through your account.
Multiple accounts are permitted. They must not, however, give one another an advantage. In particular, the following is prohibited:
Exploiting program errors, using tools for automation, and passing on or selling accounts are likewise not permitted.
The game has messages, alliances and freely chosen names. The following are prohibited:
Attacks, espionage and alliance wars within the game are expressly part of the game and are not covered by this.
In the event of breaches of these terms, access may be restricted or the account suspended. In the event of serious or repeated breaches, the account may be suspended and deleted without prior notice.
You can delete your account yourself at any time; the option is available in the game. Deleting it ends the game states of that account.
The provider may discontinue the game at any time. There is no claim to its continuation or to the preservation of game states.
The game is offered without any assurance of particular availability. Maintenance, disruptions and outages are possible; game states may be lost or reset in the process.
The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
In the case of ordinary negligence, the provider is liable only for breach of an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to proper performance and on whose observance you may rely, and limited to the foreseeable damage typical of such contracts.
Liability is otherwise excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
All rights to the game, its texts, images and structure belong to the provider. Use outside the game is not permitted without consent.

Content you post in the game yourself — empire name, alliance description, messages — remains yours. You grant the provider the right to display and store it for the purpose of running the game.
These terms may be amended, for instance when the game or the legal situation changes. You will be informed of material changes by e-mail or in the game. If you do not object within six weeks, or if you continue to use the game thereafter, the amended terms apply.

Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded, that is, from the day you created your account.
To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by means of a clear statement (for example, an e-mail to info@novacron.space). It is sufficient that you send the notification before the period expires.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, your account will be deleted and your access to the game will end. As the game is free of charge, there are no payments to refund.
Independently of this, you can delete your account yourself at any time and without any period.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
Should any provision be invalid, the remainder stays in force.
